The charity clothing bank organisation Traid has decided to remove all their clothing banks from Slough.
There are now no Traid bring banks in local areas or at the Chalvey Household Waste and Recycling Centre.
If you have clothing you wish to dispose of please consider: taking it to a local charity shop - but please only when it is open and if they are accepting new donations. Anything left outside a charity shop is considered fly-tipping and can be damaged by the weather and rendered unusabletaking advantage of the bags delivered through the door offering collection from the kerbside for relevant itemsuse clothing banks from other organisations - for example the Salvation Army who have a bank at Tesco, or the Firefighters Charity bank at Langley Fire Station - but please only deposit donations into the bin, if the bin is full, please take items home with youbook a free clothing collection from an organisation such as We Recycle Clothes https://werecycleclothes.org.uk/Any clothing currently taken to the Chalvey Household Waste and Recycling Centre can only be tipped as normal household waste and cannot be recycled. Unless your unwanted clothes are in a very poor condition, please consider the other options before throwing them in the bin.
