Burglary - Appeal for witnesses

Alert message sent 02/11/2017 09:40:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Police are seeking the owner of recovered property.

DC 3368 Richard Hayhoe who is investigating a series of recent burglaries across the Bracknell and Ascot areas would like to hear from anyone who recognises either of two wrist watches that have been recovered.  See attached photo.
'At approximately 8.20pm on Saturday 21st October a family returned to their home in Braybrook Road, Garth, Bracknell and they disturbed two men inside burgling their house. The two burglars ran out of the house and were chased off on foot by the family members. Police attended and immediately conducted an area search together with a police tracker dog. The officers found an abandoned red Skoda car which police believe was the car being used by the burglars. The burglar's car has been seized by police for forensic examination and a number of items have been found in the vehicle. The police would like to trace the owners of the two men's watches in the photograph, a silver coloured Sekonda and a gold coloured Seiko. Police suspect that these watches are likely to have come from another recent burglary and are asking for the assistance in tracing the owner. This could be linked to a recent series of Burglaries in the Bracknell and Ascot areas. Anyone with information is asked to phone 101 and quote crime reference  43170313488.  Police would also ask the public to remain vigilant to persons acting suspiciously to phone 999 if they believe a burglary is in progress'.
