Man charged in connection with multiple burglaries in Oxford

A man has been charged with a number of offences following a series of burglaries in Oxford last week.
Joshua Bedford, aged 31, of no fixed abode, has been charged with three counts of burglary non-dwelling and one count of criminal damage.

The charges relate to incidents between 12.30am and 2.15am last Wednesday (13/5) in the centre of Oxford at Sainsbury’s and Sushimania in Park End Street, the Missing Bean Café in Turl Street and the Eastgate Hotel in Merton Street.

Bedford was arrested on Wednesday (13/5) and charged with the four offences the following day (14/5).
He appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (14/5) and was remanded in custody to appear at Oxford Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
