Appeal for witnesses following a robbery in Oxford

At around 9.40am on Sunday (17/5) the victim, a 30-year-old man, was walking on the footpath between Mayfield Road and the entrance road to Cherwell School when he was approached by two unknown boys.

One of the boys asked for the victim’s wallet whilst the other showed him a knife before both running off.

The offenders are described as two white teenagers and are believed to have been hanging around the area before the incident.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Rebecca Nightingale, based at St Aldates police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident or may have any CCTV or dash-cam footage to get in touch.
