Appeal for witnesses following dangerous dog incident in Berinsfield

At around 7pm on Sunday 12 July, the victim, a 14-year-old girl, was sitting in Berinsfield Skatepark with her friend when she was attacked by a dog.

The dog is described as medium sized and white in colour. The dog had patches but it is unknown what colour they were.

The owner of the dog is described as a white man in his forties, thinning brown hair and small rimmed rectangular glasses. He was wearing dark coloured jeans and a long sleeved polo shirt.

The victim sustained injuries to the back of her head, neck and ears. She required hospital treatment and has since been discharged.

Investigating officer PC Stacey Bateman based at Didcot police station, said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim, and I am appealing to anyone who has any information to come forward.

“There were a lot of people in the park at the time of the incident and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area who may have seen something to contact us.
