Appeal for witnesses to robbery in Newbury

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Newbury.

At around 11pm on Monday (6/6), a group of people have approached a man on the footpath near to Riverside Community Centre, Rosemoor Gardens in Newbury.

One man used abusive language and pushed the victim over. He then threatened to stab the victim if he did not hand over any money.

The man is described as white and in his late teens, around 5ft 10inches tall, of athletic build, with light coloured hair and wearing a red t-shirt.

A van key with fob was stolen in the incident.

Investigating officer PC Matthew Allen, based at Newbury police station, said “I would like to appeal for anyone who witnessed this incident to please come forward.
