Distraction Burglary - Castle Road Lavendon

🚨 WITNESS APPEAL 🚨

We are appealing for witnesses following a distraction burglary in Castle Road, Lavendon.

The incident occurred on Thursday 09/06/2022 at approximately 22:30 pm.

Two males have entered a bungalow house via an insecure back door and have had a rummage through the house.  The elderly resident was home at the time and upon going to investigate has come across the males.  One of the males has used force and threatened the victim and taken carpet cleaner from the kitchen and sprayed it on the victim's hands.   The suspects have made off with cash from the house and a sentimental gold pocket watch which belonged to the victim's grandfather.

Suspects description: THEY WERE WHITE MALES, ONE WAS A BIT TALLER WAS OLDER AND MORE AGGRESSIVE, THE OTHER WAS YOUNGER, DID NOT NOTICE ANY ACCENT, THEY WERE DRESSED IN BLACK TROUSERS AND TOPS.  THEY HAD GLOVES ON.  THEY SAID THEY WERE POLICE AND CHECKING AS SOME OTHER PEOPLE HAD BEEN BROKEN INTO RECENTLY.  THEY WORE FACE MASKS COVERING THEIR NOSES AND MOUTH.
