Appeal for information after a man was bitten by a dog in Wootton Abingdon

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after a man in his sixties was bitten by a dog outside the One Stop store on Besselsleigh Road in Wootton, Abingdon.

The victim was walking past a woman on a mobility scooter and her dogs when one dog jumped up and bit him on his forearm, causing a puncture wound He did not require any hospital treatment.

The owner of the dog was a slim woman with long dark hair and was on a large mobility scooter. She had two dogs with her at the time.

Investigating officer PC Alasdair Uren, based at Abingdon police station said: “I am appealing for any witnesses of this incident to come forward, or if anyone knows of a woman matching the description in the area, or if you believe it was you, to please get in touch.
