Hopefully, all of you will have received the Alert message on this topic, sent on 12th March, Message No. 371237 My thanks to those of you who have already responded to the call.
The objective of the exercise is to consolidate the TV Alert database - based on the old Ringmaster system which some of you may remember - with the National OurWatch database. The great benefit in so doing is to make schemes visible to anyone - especially potentially NEW members - even before they have joined Neighbourhood Watch. A simple postcode search will reveal those schemes operating within any community, but in order for this to work, ALL our current schemes need to be mapped on the OurWatch system.
We hope that you will all appreciate the potential benefits to our community and residents, and to Neighbourhood Watch in general, of this process, and that you will help us make these changes. Should you feel that this 'mapping' is beyond the limits of your IT skills, then please let me know, and I will help you in any way that I can! All I need is the 'geographical limits' of your scheme by house numbers, and the number of residents who are in your scheme, hopefully the majority.
