Appeal for witnesses following incident of hate crime in Oxford

Between 8.30pm and 8.45pm on Wednesday (21/4) the victim, a 62-year-old man, was walking in Underhill Circus, near to the chip shop in Barton, when a group of young people shouted abusive words at him. The group proceeded to spit and push a bike at him, before kicking the victim’s shopping bag which aids his mobility.

One of the offenders is described as a white teenage boy, around 5ft 8ins tall, with loose blonde curly hair and medium build. He was wearing dark clothing.

We are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident or recognises the description above, to please get in touch.
