Neghbourhood Police targeting Anti Social Behaviour in play parks

Alert message sent 28/07/2022 16:06:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

With the arrival of school holidays, your local Neighbourhood Policing teams have encountered criminal incidents in several local play parks, or had such incidents reported to them by members of the public.  Such incidents have included arson, public disorder, possession of offensive weapons, Anti Social Behaviour and assaults.
It appears that in a majority of incidents it has been groups of youths that have been responsible, and locations that have suffered recently have included:
Snaprails Park, Braybrook Recreation Ground and Allsmoor Lane Park  on the Bracknell side of the police area.

Sol Joel Park, Ashenbury Park, Laurel Park and Chalfont Park on the Wokingham & Earley side of the police area.

Police and Community Support Officers will be patrolling the local parks to identify and prosecute offenders of any further such incidents .

The Police would ask parents and adults with responsibility for youngsters to help by ensuring that  children in their care do not go out “to play” with offensive items such as knives, other bladed articles or BB Guns, and that they do not carry cigarette lighters or matches, and to prevent the drinking of alcohol in public parks and areas.
The play parks and open areas across the Bracknell & Wokingham districts are there for all to enjoy, After all they cost you as local residents (through your council tax) thousands of pounds to maintain and keep in good repair.

Any information about such offences or offenders can be reported either on-line via the Thames Valley Police website,  or by phone on 101. Alternatively if you'd want to remain anonymous you can report your information to Crimestoppers UK  on  or by phoning 0800 555 111
