CCTV released following assault Newbury

Thames Valley Police is releasing a CCTV image following an assault in Newbury.
At around 7.45pm on 5 July 2022 a man in his seventies has been approached from behind by a boy believed to be in his teens, at the entrance of Sainsbury’s in Hectors Way, Newbury.
The boy is reported to have kicked the man from behind, who has then fallen to the floor causing him to fracture his hip. The victim attended hospital but has since been discharged. 
Nothing was stolen from the victim during the assault.
Investigating officer, PC Grant Summersbee, based at Newbury police station, said: “We are investigating this assault and have released an image of someone we believe may have information in connection with this assault.
