It’s just under two weeks until The PopUp Business School opens its doors at the Curve with its free 10 day course to help local entrepreneurs kick start their businesses.
These sessions will help entrepreneurs, small businesses and start-ups meet their goals and continue to grow, while doing something that they love. The course includes how to:
  • Start a Business with No Money
  • Build a Website for Free
  • Get to the Top of Google
  • Find Customers on Social Media
  • Get the Confidence to Start
  • Tax, Company Setup and The Legal Stuff
  • How to Make Money Doing What You Love
The PopUp Business School’s non-traditional approach focuses on helping you make your first sale without spending money – no loans or business plans needed.  Thirty percent of the people that attend the course start their business before the end of the workshop and 27 percent make their first sale. A total of 80 percent of business are still selling 18 months later!
Anyone who would like to learn new skills, has a business idea or has started a business can book a place on the course and will take home with them practical advice and a clear way forward.
All of the sessions are free, however places are limited so be sure to book ahead of time.
Councillor James Swindlehurst, leader of Slough Borough Council, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has just started a business and needs more support with different aspects of their business, or for those thinking of branching out on their own.
“Slough has always been a town of innovation and creativity and we have a great community of entrepreneurs. I am delighted we can offer support through the pop-up business school for budding new businesses.”
Course runs from Monday, 21 January to Friday, 1 February from 10am to 3pm and will take place at the Curve, William Street, Slough, SL1 1XY.
