Dear All,

I would like to thank you for being a NHW volunteer to help build safer neighbourhoods in Slough. By way of an update, in addition to NHW activities, i would like to inform you about local charities helping Slough residents in this bulletin.

OneSlough - Community Champions
OneSlough welcomes community champions to support elderly and vulnerable during these challenging times.  They welcome all residents, who could help the elderly and vulnerable residents. Click here to register your interest.

PublicHealth Slough
PublicHealth Slough published many useful resources online to fight COVID. You could help others by having quick read of the pages on their website. You can find articles on Staying safe from

Foxborough Neighbourhood Watch – New scheme
I’m pleased to inform you that a new scheme is setup to cover Foxborough ward and a total of 70 NHW signs are now acting as deterence in the Ward. I would like to thank the local councillor Cllr Bedi and the residents, who welcomed Neighbourhood Watch.
 
Keeping Safe - Dark Nights
As per my previous message, some of the common burglaries, the residents have are as follows:
The Car break-ins, ensure all the car doors are locked to avoid break-ins.
The missing bikes, securing the sheds and placing a portable PIR alarm would help the bikes in the shed.

The Slough Hub - Charity to support Job seekers
For people who have recently lost their Jobs or anxious about losing their Jobs. The Slough Hub is planning a series of zoom sessions for providing practical tips for finding a job. To find out more about the initiative write to  vineetvijh@thesloughhub.org or Visit here for further information.
